For Partner Organizations Looking to Collaborate

We work alongside community organizations, service providers, and research partners who are supporting people affected by intimate partner violence. Explore how Mhaven can connect with your work and help strengthen the wider ecosystem of care.

Who We Are

Canada’s First Intimate Partner Violence-Focused Mental Health Platform

Mhaven’s vision is to be a centralized, sustainable, and scalable hub delivering mental health support and resources for survivors, supporters, people seeking to change their behaviour, mental health professionals, and the public.

The initiative connects education, early intervention, and service navigation so people can find coordinated, culturally safe, trauma- and violence-informed support across hospital and community settings.

What Makes This Initiative Different

Why Partner with Mhaven

We’re building an evidence-informed, community-connected hub that doesn’t replace existing services. It helps them work together more effectively.

Partnering with Mhaven means contributing to an emerging research-driven model for how mental health systems can respond to intimate partner violence with greater safety, coordination, and care.

Partnership Opportunities

Ways to Partner With Us

There are many ways organizations can contribute to and benefit from the Mhaven ecosystem. We welcome collaborations that strengthen service navigation, training, and research across the intimate partner violence and mental health landscape.

Share Resources

Help us highlight trustworthy information by sharing your educational materials, toolkits, or programs related to intimate partner violence and mental health. We review submissions for alignment with trauma- and violence-informed, culturally safe practice before featuring them on the hub.

List Support Services

If your organization offers services for people affected by intimate partner violence, such as counselling, shelters, legal supports, advocacy, or navigation, we can explore adding them to our services directory so they’re easier for people and providers to find.

Contribute to Training & Capacity Building

Partner with us on training initiatives for mental health professionals, peers, and community organizations. This can include co-developing workshops, sharing curricula, or hosting learning opportunities that help build trauma- and violence-informed practice.

Co-Develop Studies, Join Panels, or Co-Host Events

Collaborate on research projects, advisory panels, or events that centre lived experience and practice-based evidence. Together, we can generate knowledge that shapes better policies, programs, and pathways to care.

Safety, Accessibility & Inclusion

Our Commitment to Accessibility, Transparency, Privacy & Cultural Safety

Every partnership is grounded in ethical, trauma- and violence-informed principles. We prioritize clear communication, shared expectations, and safeguards around privacy and data use.

Our work is guided by cultural safety, anti-oppressive practice, and meaningful engagement with people who have lived experience of intimate partner violence.
