Browse Safely

The “Quick Escape”

The ‘Exit Site’ button found at the top of our pages will quickly redirect you to a neutral website like Google or Weather.com. Please note: This button does not delete our site from your browser history. You must still clear your history manually.

Use a Safe Computer

If you think your home computer or phone is being monitored, the safest way to browse is to use a device the person doesn’t have access to. Consider using a computer at a public library, a trusted friend’s house, your workplace, or a local community centre.

Private/Incognito Browsing

Most browsers have a ‘Private’ or ‘Incognito’ mode. While this doesn’t make you invisible to your internet service provider, it prevents the browser from saving your history, searches, and cookies on that specific device. If you have accessed our site before switching to ‘Private’ or ‘Incognito’ mode, our site will still be in your history. Learn how to clear your history below.

How to Clear Your History

If you have already visited our site and need to hide the record:

  • Chrome/Edge: Press Ctrl + Shift + Del (Windows) or Command + Shift + Del (Mac).
  • Safari: Go to History > Clear History.
  • Mobile: Go to your browser settings and select ‘Clear Browsing Data.’
  • Warning: Clearing all history may look suspicious to a monitor. You may want to selectively delete only the specific pages related to your search for help.
